Terry became interested in singing as a very young child. Her mother loved The Beatles and Michael Jackson, her father favored country music, and her great grandmother was an opera singer and piano teacher. She’s got country roots but credits her exposure to such diverse music as a child with her interest in music as an adult. Her dad was a talented singer himself, and Terry used to sing along with him.
As a young teen Terry was active in school musicals and chorus, landing the lead roles in “Phantom of the Opera” and “Grease” at Shea Middle School. Terry enjoyed karaoke (her friends dubbed it “Terry-oke”) but she never sang in a band until a neighborhood friend suggested they start a country band, what would eventually become Pour Whyte Trash. Pour Whyte Trash parted ways and these days Terry talented PWT guitar player Joe Precourt can be found performing high energy, rocking modern country favorites all over Central New York.
